My Bio
At heart I guess I'm a surrealist because I paint, sculpt and digitise the territory somewhere between dream and reality.

I'd easily become bored with a single medium or a single theme, so I dabble in all sorts of media and explore divergent ideas. Hence, there must be something for everybody here including, perhaps, you.

Not only do I explore different media, but I combine them. Thus a scuplted figure could become an actor set in a photographed scene with a watercolour backdrop, all combined in a photo-manipulation. I've followed this line of thinking for more than a couple of decades with early works being finished in the darkroom rather than the computer.

I joined Deviantart to share my efforts, meet like-minded creative people and to be challenged to learn. I'm interested in the history of art and concepts behind art, including yours. I appreciate your visits, favs and comments and look forward to viewing, learning from and being inspired by your art.

I retain the copyright of my art work, photographs and sculptures. If you wish to use anything, just ask and permission will likely be given for any reasonable use. Thank you.

Just uploaded are three works that could be described as "social comment": Diet Dilemma, Angling as Male Bonding and David and Goliath. They're conceptual, in the post-modern sense, being little more than ideas rather than beautifully executed reflections of nature. You get them or you don't.  Either way, have fun! Many thanks if you're a watcher or have given favs. Expect more new stuff to be uploaded over the next few days. Have a happy day and enjoy your browsing!
